Not just that day \u2014 but for years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the silent harm of <strong>toxic masculinity<\/strong> \u2014 a social script that tells boys they must be tough, emotionless, dominant, and in control.<br>But it\u2019s time to ask: <strong>At what cost?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-e415b0de wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-transform:capitalize\"><strong>What is Toxic Masculinity?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toxic masculinity isn\u2019t about saying masculinity is bad \u2014 it\u2019s about identifying the <strong>harmful traits<\/strong> often forced onto men:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Emotional suppression (&#8220;men don&#8217;t cry&#8221;)<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aggression as strength<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fear of vulnerability<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disrespect for women and queer individuals<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These pressures don\u2019t just hurt others \u2014 they <strong>damage men too<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-e415b0de wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"text-transform:capitalize\"><strong>The Emotional Toll on Boys and Men<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a 2021 study by WHO:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Men are <strong>3.5 times more likely to die by suicide<\/strong> than women globally.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In India, the rate of untreated mental health issues in men is rising \u2014 because most never seek help.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Why? Because they&#8217;ve been taught that asking for help = weakness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This belief starts early. Boys are discouraged from playing with dolls, wearing pink, or being sensitive. He teaches boys how to name their feelings, resolve conflict without violence, and express themselves without fear.
